Water:  Swarna champa plant does not need heavy watering but it should be watered during the summer to prevent stress and dehydration. Fertilizer:  Magnolia champaca is a moderately heavy feeder and requires consistent levels of nutrients during the active growing season. The type of fertilizer and application frequency depends on the age of the tree and its growing conditions. Younger trees that are still establishing a productive root system need a complete fertilizer with an N-P-K ratio of 15-15-15, while established trees benefit from a blooming fertilizer with an N-P-K ratio of 7-9-5.
