Carnation Plant’s Care Instructions:

Water: Occasionally- whenever the soil dries out completely as the plant is drought-tolerant. They do not require much water, except in the summer months. Instead of splashing water, spraying is better way to moisten the plants.

Soil: Carnations thrive in fertile, well- drained, slightly alkaline (pH 6.75) soil.

Fertilizer: Add a general purpose fertilizer once or twice a month.

Light: Full sun- around 6-8 hours of direct exposure to sunlight. It can be grown indoors and requires bright light, well-drained potting soil and good air circulation for germination and growth.

Temperature: The optimum temperature for growing Carnations ranges from 50 to 59 degrees F at daytime and 41 to 46 degrees F at night.
