Tecoma Pink is a fast growing evergreen climber covered in masses of pink trumpet-shaped flowers during spring and summer. It is ideal for covering a fence or bare wall. A very hardy plant also suitable for coastal conditions. Prefers a full sun to part shade position.

Description

Tecoma, commonly known as cape honeysuckle, is a flowering, versatile evergreen that is suitable as a climbing vine, border plant, shrub or ground cover. It blooms in clusters of tubular, red-orange, pink, yellow and many more color flowers that are about 2 inches in length in the late summer, fall and winter. Cape honeysuckle grows rapidly.

Tecoma Plan’s Care Instructions:

 Water: In summer the watering is moderate, in hot weather, up to 3 times a week. The top layers of the soil between watering should dry up. In winter, watering is reduced, especially at low storage temperatures.

Light: A very bright light is required, up to 4 hours of direct sun per day. It is best to grow on a southern or western window. When there is a lack of lighting, the bloom is weakened. It is advisable to ensure good lighting and in the winter, because in low light possible drastic defoliation.

Soil: Suitable is a loose, breathable, fertile substrate based on 2 parts of garden land, 1 part of sand or perlite and 1 part of peat (pH 7-8). Drainage required.

Fertilizer: The plants requires low fertilizing and can even do without it.
